Susan J. Canal
President
Susan Canal is one of the most innovative fundraising experts in the industry. Highly touted as a progressive thinker, she has helped thousands of organizations raise millions of dollars over her nearly 30-year career. Susan is well respected among her peers in the industry, and in fact, has served in a variety of capacities for the the Association of Fund Raising and Direct Sellers. AFRDS is the only association representing the entire fundraising industry.
Susan has worked with schools, bands, choirs, sports leagues, clubs and other not-for-profit groups selling a wide variety of merchandise and food. In fact, Susan was the first fu
ndraiser for the world renown Indianapolis Children's Choir, which made its humble beginning in 1986 at Butler University. Susan has worked with ICC every year since 1986.
Beginning as a parent organization officer for her own childrens' school, Susan evolved into an independent distributor selling to a variety of organizations. Since her start, Susan has stayed independent, and thus permits her to choose from the best suppliers in the industry.
When not enabling organizations achieve their financial goals, Susan volunteers at her church in the children's ministry and serves on the Dream Alive (www.dreamaliveinc.org) executive board. Dream Alive is an organization striving to improve the lives of students in Indianapolis. She has served her community on a variety of youth boards from PTO, athletics, bands, to choral groups.
